From the return of Daredevil to the arrival of Meghan Markle’s new talk show, we round up our top 10 shows to watch this week
1. Celtics City – Monday, March 3, HBO Canada | Series Premiere

The legend of the Boston Celtics unfolds in this nine-part docuseries. Beginning with the arrival of legendary coach Red Auerbach in 1950, the series traces the storied history of the 18-time NBA champions, as told by those who built its legacy. “Moving between past and present, each episode of the series examines not just the many eras of the franchise’s history, but also rivalries with the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and others; the relationships and loyalty shared by teammates; and the weight and expectations that come with carrying on a tradition that transcends the game,” notes the series synopsis.
2. With Love, Meghan – Tuesday, March 4, Netflix | Series Premiere

You may well recall that TV Week already covered the premiere of Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle’s cooking, lifestyle and conversation series way back in early January. Unfortunately, when devastating wildfires began raging throughout California — which is both Markle’s home state and the setting of With Love, Meghan — this eight-part program was delayed to a less tumultuous time. Now, that time has come.
Join Markle and celebrity guests like writer-actor Mindy Kaling and chefs Roy Choi and Alice Waters at a farmhouse in Montecito, where — from the kitchen to the garden to the beehive — “Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected.”
As the Duchess herself enthuses in the trailer: “Love is in the details!” Click here to watch trailer.
3. Denise Richards and Her Wild Things – Tuesday, March 4, Hayu | Series Premiere

An actress who rose to fame starring in cultishly adored sci-fi satire Starship Troopers and by playing notorious Bond girl Christmas Jones in 007 flick The World Is Not Enough, these days Denise Richards is arguably best-known for playing . . . well, Denise Richards.
Starting in 2008 with It’s Complicated, a reality series documenting life after her tumultuous marriage to Charlie Sheen, Richards went on to join the ensemble of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in two stints, from 2019-2020 and 2023-2024. Now, she’s going solo again with Denise Richards & Her Wild Things — which takes its name from the campy 1998 erotic thriller wherein she shared the screen with Matt Dillon, Kevin Bacon and Canadian Neve Campbell. But far from an R-rated sex romp, this “half-hour comedic docuseries” chronicles its star’s new normal alongside loving, protective husband Aaron Phypers; the two daughters she shares with Sheen — the “vivacious” Sami, who is also in showbiz (via posting mature content to her OnlyFans account), and the “soft-spoken but determined” Lola, who wants nothing to do with entertainment; as well as, finally, her youngest child, “sweet-natured” glue of the family Eloise, whom Denise adopted back in 2011. As the press release puts it: “The first time Richards opened up her family life for a reality series more than 15 years ago, she was navigating a notoriously difficult marriage, intense scrutiny and tabloid attention, all while raising two young girls. This time around, life is more complicated and unpredictable. Richards and her family . . . show us what their famous, loving and hilarious life is like.” Moreover, some of Denise’s fellow Housewives pop by to stir the pot, including Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke, Erika Jayne and Camille Grammer.
4. Daredevil: Born Again – Tuesday, March 4, Disney+ | Series Premiere

These days, the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to unspool on Disney+ (due to Disney’s ownership of Marvel Studios), but it wasn’t always that way. Prior to the launch of Disney’s streaming service, Netflix was the home of a plethora of Marvel series, including The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Defenders and the show that launched them all, Daredevil.
When the third season of the latter ended in 2018, fans figured the adventures of blind vigilante lawyer Matt Murdock were over. Then, in 2022 Disney announced plans to revive the series with Daredevil: Born Again, with Charlie Cox returning as the titular costumed hero and Vincent D’Onofrio back as crime boss Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk.
A production pause — courtesy of last year’s Hollywood strikes — led to a creative shakeup behind the scenes midway through filming the first season. However, Marvel Studios is apparently happy enough with the result that a second season is already in the works, with filming to begin this spring.
“In Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again, Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk pursues his own political endeavours in New York,” reads the official synopsis. “When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.”
Cox — who briefly reprised Murdock in She Hulk and Spider-Man: No Way Home — admitted he wasn’t expecting to ever play the role again when he received the call revealing that Marvel wanted to resurrect Daredevil.
“I really had put this to bed emotionally; I didn’t think that this was going to happen,” Cox told Entertainment Weekly. “I literally don’t have the words to describe it. I feel incredibly grateful.” Click here to watch trailer.
5. The Leopard – Wednesday, March 5, Netflix | Series Premiere

The second half of the 19th century was a time of immense change for Sicily, with efforts underway to unify Italy while Giuseppe Garibaldi’s Redshirt army was on the verge of conquering the entire island. This lavish Italian period drama adapts Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa’s posthumously published 1958 novel Il Gattopardo (in English, The Leopard), which chronicled that tumultuous period through the eyes of the aristocratic Salina family.
“Based on what many consider to be one of the greatest Italian novels of all time, The Leopard is a dazzlingly sensuous epic, set against the backdrop of revolution in 1860s Sicily,” states Netflix of this limited series. “At its heart is Don Fabrizio Corbera, the Prince of Salina, who leads a life surrounded by beauty and privilege. But as Italy moves towards unification and the old aristocratic order is threatened, he realizes that his family’s future is in jeopardy. New allegiances must be made, each one a threat to his principles.” Click here to watch trailer.
6. Harlen Coben’s Just One Look – Wednesday, March 5, Netflix | Series Premiere

His novels having already been adapted into such thrillers as Safe, The Stranger and Missing You, author Harlan Coben returns with another potboiler, this one set in Poland, about a woman whose life is upended due to a random family photo that reveals a twisted conspiracy.
7. Canada’s Ultimate Challenge – Thursday, March 6, CBC | Season Premiere

Just one day after The Amazing Race hits its starting line, this homegrown obstacle course returns for season three.
Kicking off in Tofino, 20 competitors with a passion for extreme undertakings are divided into five teams and forced to run, climb, swim and rappel their way across our fair-yet-perilous nation — forging and discarding alliances as needed. The latter aspect of the game was added in season two, as the celebrity coach component of season one was ditched and the show took on more of a Survivor energy.
Now that the format has stabilized, returning host Brandon Gonez teases to TV Week that competitors who arrive for season three had a leg up on their counterparts in season two.
“Something that I noticed right off the bat is that our contestants — they came ready to play, with an even higher intensity,” he says. “The fact that all these players had the opportunity to watch season two, they now know that this is not just a physical game, but it’s a reality game too — it’s a social game.”
That in mind, they may be in for an altogether tougher trek. “The challenges, we’ve intensified them even further,” he continues. “They’re super-ultimate this year. I don’t know how much more Ultimate you can get when it comes to Canada’s Ultimate Challenge, but somehow we found a way to do that!” Click here to watch trailer.
8. Plankton: The Movie – Friday, March 7, Netflix

Among the most influential children’s shows of the past three decades, SpongeBob SquarePants is one of those rare franchises whose sophisticated sense of humour and unbounded creative ambition appeals to kids and adults alike.
The saga of an excitable sponge who “lives in a pineapple under the sea” began in 1999, and is still going strong on Nickelodeon in the U.S. and YTV in Canada. Recently, the brand has expanded with various feature films, both in theatres and on Netflix. What’s more, SpongeBob — generous leading man that he is — has been more than willing to share the spotlight with a few of his supporting cast. Last year, that took the form of Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie, centring on the titular squirrel scientist.
Now, we get another feature that’s all about itty-bitty megalomaniac Plankton. Long obsessed with stealing the secret formula of rival fast-food magnate Mr. Krabs, here Plankton faces a most unexpected enemy: his own A.I. “wife” Karen — who’s had enough of playing sidekick and decides to hatch a plan of her own to ditch her unsupportive partner and achieve world domination/destruction.
It’s up to Plankton to put aside his petty schemes and save the world — possibly by saving his marriage . . . and definitely with a little help from Mr. SquarePants.
9. Power Book III: Raising Kanan – Friday, March 7, Starz 1 & Starz 2 | Season Premiere

Season four of the drug-world drama finds Raq, Kanan and the Thomas clan looking forward to a fresh start, only to face a vengeful ghost from the past in the form of rival dealer Unique — who isn’t quite so dead as they’d hoped. Even though our antiheroes may want to change their ways, fate has other plans. Click here to watch trailer.
10. Chaos: The Manson Murders – Friday, March 7, Netflix | Series Premiere

The latest product from acclaimed documentary filmmaker Errol Morris (The Thin Blue Line, Gates of Heaven) delves into the shadowy and complex narrative of the murders committed by Charles Manson and his infamous “family,” challenging the official accounts of the most infamous killing spree of the 1960s. The feature-length doc explores the darkest corners of recent history, casting light on newly revealed links between Manson, the CIA, LSD and the likes of Jack Ruby (a.k.a. assassin of Lee Harvey Oswald) and Vincent Bugliosi, who was Deputy District Attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office at the time.
“Based on the 2019 book CHAOS: Charles Manson, the CIA and the Secret History of the Sixties by Tom O’Neill with Dan Piepenbring, the film looks at the covert motives that may have led to the notorious murders,” notes the synopsis. “Morris, known for his investigative prowess and compelling storytelling, brings a fresh perspective to this chilling chapter of American history with gripping interviews, shocking archival visuals — and the music of Charles Manson himself. The documentary invites viewers to question the roles of well-known players and powerful institutions alike in a thought-provoking exploration of the tumultuous era’s cultural and political undercurrents.”
